These works are influenced by years of living amongst mid-century modern architecture in the desert Southwest. Utilizing my visual language of pattern and color - I wanted to explore how architecture can create space and light with a solid form. Architects & designers such as Corbusier Prouve’, Eames & Frank Lloyd Wright used steel, glass, concrete, and wood to create “light’ spaces. These works utilize that methodology - searching for the lightness of form within a painting.
