Bicycle Mural
The Bicycle Mural on 2nd Street and Roosevelt in Downtown Phoenix was originally painted in 2012 as a group partnership with Hands on Greater Phoenix. The mural was inspired by the late artist Margaret Killgallen and a mural she had done (hence demolished in the basement of LACMA after the parking structure was remodeled). The mural is an homage not only to Margaret but also to the flower distribution business it was painted on and the burgeoning bicycle culture in AZ along with the Burton Barr library and the food culture of Downtown Phoenix.
