"Astral Dawn" came out of my morning ritual of rising before dawn to start my day when at home in California I surf as the sun comes up - the rising colors fill me with an overwhelming feeling of calm and appreciation for our planet. The way the light changes both in the sky and on the water is an astral event - the gradation of smokey grey purple to soft pinks & oranges with flecks of gold light - it's a sight you feel in your whole body. The peacefulness of these temporal moments fill me with farklempt love.
